METHOD OF COLLECTING, IDENTIFYING AND CLASSIFYING SALIVA

Patent No. 5,334,502

Issued: August 2, 1994

Inventor: Sangha, Jangbir. S., Overland Park, KS

Assignee: Osborn Laboratories, Inc., Olathe KS

Actually, this patent isn't really weird at all. It's a patent on a method of collecting saliva samples for medical reasons.

The title just struck us as worthy of inclusion in our collection. Can you imagine conventions of spit collectors, swapping little samples wrapped in clear plastic? Would collectors value their collections based on rarity? Quality? Quantity? Fame of the spitter?
