As a law firm, privacy and confidentiality are basic principles of our practice.
We do not set any cookies in your browswer
We do not collect or have access to any personal information by which we could identify viewers of our website. Our web hosting service monitors and reports general traffic statistics on our website, and none of that information contains any personal information or information by which we can identify visitors to our site.
We do not, and will not, make any effort to trace search engine inquiries to a source.
No registration is required to view this website.
We do not (and cannot) collect e-mail addresses or contact information from users of this site as a result of visiting our site.
The only time we will ever know your e-mail address, or anything personal about you at all, is if you use our Contact Us form or send an e-mail directly to one of the e-mail addresses at our firm. In that case, you should be aware of the following:
No attorney-client relationship is established by contacting us or submitting information via this website. If you ask us to represent you and we agree to the representation, the attorney-client relationship will be established at that time. In the meantime, we intend to maintain the confidentiality of any information you provide.
It is possible that we already represent another client whose interests might conflict with yours now or in the foreseeable future. We cannot be forced to withdraw from representation of an existing client, or be precluded from accepting a new client, because we received an unsolicited question or information.
By contacting us, you agree that, until you retain us to represent you and we accept that representation, no attorney-client relationship will exist between you and our firm. We may review any information you provide to us, and you agree that our review of the information contained in e-mail and any attachments will not preclude our firm (or any attorney or agent in the firm) from representing a party in any matter where that information is relevant.
If it appears we would be prevented from representing you because we previously represented another client whose interests might conflict, we will inform you of that potential conflict. If at that time you still want us to represent you, we would be required to obtain your consent and the consent of the other client before we could accept such representation, which would require revealing at least some of your information to the other client and vice-versa. In this situation, unless both parties agree to waive the potential conflict, we would not be able to accept you as a client.
We do not "harvest" e-mails from inquiries or use them for solicitations.
Because of confidentiality issues, we do not sell any contact information or e-mail addresses, or share them with any third parties outside our firm - with one exception: if you write us for information about a patent which is listed on our "representative patents" pages, we reserve the right to forward your e-mail to our client so that they can answer your question.
Oh, yes, one more exception: If you send us spam e-mail offering to enlarge parts of our corporate anatomy, share part of your ill-gotten gains as a deposed Nigerian dictator, represent your client who just happens to have the same last name (Brown? Who'd have thought it was possible...), or pretending to be Yahoo, AOL, Google or our bank and asking to verify our account details - or anything like any of that - shame on you. We will forward your e-mail to your internet provider, and the provider of any return address you supply.
If you have any questions about these policies, please feel free to Contact Us
